ISL Light 2.1.0 for Android (2014-07-10)

On 10th of July the following was released:
- ISL Light 2.1.0 (release_date=2014-07-04, revision=35126, platform=Android, os_version=2.2-FFF) for Android.

Improvements
New features
Added support for remote viewing of Android device screen. When in session, user will have to make screenshots in order to transfer them to operators side. This is view only functionality.
Added support for remotely controlling rooted Android devices.
ISL Light now natively supports x86 devices.
ISL Light Session in progress notification will now appear every time the user is either remote controlling a computer or showing his device and is running the application in the background. Clicking on the notification will reopen ISL Light application.
When joining session using Samsung Android device users will no longer need to click on Enable screen sharing button. Join session now combines both functionalities. After entering session code , if ISL Light is not yet device administrator it will show user consent dialog to elevate the application to device administrator. Users will also need to agree to the Samsung license in this step.
Added support to join session directly from web page. Current ISL Light server settings will be replaced with settings obtained from web page.
Defect fixes
Users may have experienced crash of ISL Light application after clicking on join session. This happened on rooted Samsung devices due to Samsung remote desktop library crash. Join session has been redesigned, in case that Samsung library crashes it will not crash ISL Light application.
The defect was fixed.
In some cases ISL Light application crashed when joining session. The cause of this crash was that the join functionality was not initialized. This part was redesigned, in case the join is not initialized it will not cause the application to crash.

ISL Light application crashed in case the application was sent to background when at the same time progress dialog was appearing in the application. Displaying dialog functionality was redesigned, showing dialog while going to background will not cause the application to crash.

Users may have experienced crash of ISL Light application when using search functionality in list of ISL AlwaysOn computers. Search functionality was redesigned, the application should no longer crash.

Users may have experienced crash of ISL Light application if they swiped to Files and then opened About screen and after then swipe back to list of ISL AlwaysOn computers. The crash was caused because of Fragment corruption. Fragment manager was redesigned, users should no longer experience crash.

Users may have experienced crash of ISL Light application if they either rotated the device or leave the application in background when loading ISL Light log file. Functionality for retrieving log file was completely redesigned, the application should no longer crash.

In rare occurrences application crashed when opening computer details of an ISL AlwaysOn computer. The issue was that not all details were properly sent to the application causing it to crash. In case the computer details are not correctly retrieved the application will no longer crash.

In rare occasion ISL Light application crashed when connecting to remote computer. Connecting to remote computer functionality was redesigned, users should no longer experience any crashes when connecting to remote computer.

Users may have experienced the remote desktop view to be black after rotation of device. The image was black until the next screen update was sent to ISL Light application. Viewer functionality was redesigned, after rotating the device, ISL Light will show the last image which was displayed prior to rotation.

ISL Light application crashed when KeyChain file was corrupted. Retrieving KeyChain data has been redesigned, in case the file is corrupted it will notify the user of such event and create new keychain values. The application should no longer crash
The defect was fixed.
Users may have experienced crash of ISL Light when downloading files from remote computer ( file sharing functionality ). The issue was that if the user did not have any software installed to open the downloaded file the application crashed. Downloading files functionality was redesigned, even if the user does not have the appropriate software installed on their device, it will not cause ISL Light application to crash.
The defect was fixed.
