ISL Light 3.3.0 for Windows (2010-11-04)
General Information
On 17th November 2010 we released:
- ISL Light Client 3.3.0 (2010-11-04) for Windows
- ISL Light Desk 3.3.0 (2010-11-04) for Windows
- Desktop Control 1.3.0 (2010-11-04) for Windows
IMPORTANT:
This release has been removed from hosted service and server license as it contains a critical problem with high CPU usage on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 systems.
Upgrading to new version

Please visit http://www.isllight.com and start ISL Light Desk or ISL Light Client from new version tab.

Server License
Upgrades are free of charge for ISL Online Server License users with active Extended Support Service. ISL Online Server License users with expired Extended Support Service are welcome to purchase Extended Support Service in order to gain access to the newly released ISL Online Server system. In case you have extended ESS you will need to create new license file and upload it to your ISL Conference Proxy server.
Quick Instructions for users with ISL Conference Proxy 3.1 installed
- open web administration of ISL Conference Proxy http://localhost:7615/conf
- login using admin account
- click Online update link in left navigation
- click Apply changes if you have automatic install
Improvements since ISL Light 3.2.6 application
Defect fix
Whenever a key is requested that contains special keys to generate ISL Light might lock some of those special keys. The user had to press special key separately to unlock keyboard keys.
Older version send its desktop stream even if ISL Light view windows was minimized..
New features
Besides Start Of Dialog, Start Of Session and End Of Session dialogs also runtime dialogs can be defined. Additionally desktop session can be paused based on the definition of runtime dialog.
Obtained session code can be sent through email by simple click on mail icon in ISL Light Desk program.
Generating remote information takes long time. Quick system information is presented to the user while long report is being generated.
Chat text can now also be shown in Pronto session if Light session was started from ISL Pronto.
ISL Light Desk can select specific monitor or desktop if remote side has more monitors.
New codec for RFB protocol was developed by XLAB. Desktop plugin supports new ISSC codec. The new encoding improves the speed when watching video and images through ISL Light.
Different parts of desktop sharing have been improved with multithreaded technology (OPENMP) and SIMD instructions.
