ISL Light 4.1.3 for Android (2016-12-21)

General Information

On 21st of December the following was released:

  • ISL Light 4.1.3 for Android (release_date=2016-12-21, build=553e7cba6559845cc3dd8b1a5c57c7a7cfa085aa, platform=Android, os_version=4.0.3-FFF).

Upgrading to new version

Hosted service users please check Upgrading Hosted Service for iOS or Android .

Server license users please check Upgrading Server License for iOS or Android .

ISL Light 4.1.3 for Android is available in Google Play Store and it has also a corresponding program file (isl_light_4_1_3_android_201612210946_6ed2718e.program) which adds information about customizations to ISL Conference Proxy. Server License users need to use Online update to get the file.

New features

ISL Light - Mobile Android - Completely remove autologin functionality from app and add "Remember me" setting -> same behaviour as in ISL Light iOS (FEATURE) [ISLLIGHT-4271]
Description

A new setting, "Remember Login" was added. When enabled (default), ISL Light remembers user's credentials and fills them in on the login screen. ISL Light does not log in user automatically anymore. The setting is only available when user is not logged in.

ISL Light - Mobile Android - Crashes caused by usage of methods that are not available on older Android versions using SDK < 17 (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-4272]
Description

On Android versions 4.1.3 and older a crash occurred immediately after logging in. This was due to usage of methods not available on these versions. This was fixed and crashes no longer happen.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Mobile Android - Too many buttons in action bar (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-4307]
Description

If fast switch between different tabs ( Files and Computers ) was performed multiple times, the action bar showed too many buttons. Handling of switching of tabs was redesigned, action bar should no longer show too many buttons.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Mobile Android - Title in settings dialogs is not translated on-the-fly when switching language (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-4308]
Description

If user changed language and after that opened a window ( ISL Server setting and others ) the title of the opened window was not translated to the correct language. Functionality for changing language was redesigned, newly opened windows after language change should show the correct language.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Mobile Android - Show/Hide desktop background setting is not working (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-4314]
Description

Option for showing or hiding desktop background on remote computer was not working due to fact that changes were actually not sent to other side. The change of setting is now sent to the remote computer and the functionality should now work correctly.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Mobile Android - Excessive log lines detected (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-4317]
Description

In the log file of ISL Light application there were excessive log lines when user streamed own device screen. The excessive log lines were removed from log file.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Mobile Android - Update translations (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-4323]
Description

There were some missing translations and typos in the ISL Light application. Translations were updated.

The defect was fixed.
